The future belongs to you; your need, therefore, to prepare yourself for an active participation in the world. This participation demands that you become well informed, develop yourself like a pioneer and ultimately grow as responsible men and woman.
When I say all this, I mean in the words of Rudyard Kipling: that:
“If you can walk with crowds and keep your virtues
Alternatively, walk with kings - nor loose the common touch
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And what’s more you will be a MAN, my son.”
I believe this will certainly empower you to understand my intentions and what I expect from all of you when you leave the portals of the school premises.
Hence, inculcate a planned life - where sense of values, time and commitment must matter more than anything else does. Be a dreamer and a performer, never be taken away either by sense of defeat or victory. Participate almost in every school activity. Learn to take the pressure of all kinds of competition. Never retreat from a great cause or action, just because you are not able to perceive the goal or immediate objectives. Do not follow the whims and fancies of others, blindly.
Always think and review - discover the cause and effect of every event, where you had been involved. Never speak ill at the back of a person. Do not surrender or become a slave to youthful fancies and indulgences.
Listen to your elders and all those who matter in your student life. Be reasonable and polite, but never argue. Try to be honest at all cost and learn the great act of humility. Be respectful to your elders. Reach the old and the venerable not with pity but with regard and compassion & do remember that
Education is a companion which
No misfortune can depress
No crime destroy
No enemy alienate
No despotism enslave
At home a friend
Abroad an introduction
In society an ornament
Without it what is Man?
Be regular in your studies. Learn to enjoy hard work - particularly your studies. Think wisely think systematically. Always prepare yourself for next day’s lesson. Be very serious and attentive in class. I understand that overemphasis in academic pursuits sometimes tends to take the joy out of learning. Finally, never leave anything for tomorrow..., as really there is no tomorrow for anyone of us.
Preserve our heritage and environment for yourself as well as for your next generation. Be always a soldier to defend and preserve our traditions and our territory. Now, wake up to be ready as young Heritageans for the great act of Deliverance. In addition, always remember
“WORK IS WORSHIP”
With love and affection,
